Make a Differemce, DONATIONS

M.A.D PROJECT BLOG UPDATE

So far, we've collected donations of clothes from a few people. There are much clothes even if not a lot of people donated. Nothing has gone wrong, yet. We are waiting patiently for people to donate what they can to help make a difference. The challenges we've faced is that, when we ask people if they would want to donate, they would say tomorrow or whatsoever. When the day comes, they tend to say they forgot even if reminded to. I learned that not everyone will want to donate nor make a difference. It is hard, but we are trying to make the best out of everything.

I believe that my patience has improved this week. Many people were testing my patience this week, and I knew how to calm down to relax and make sure that no one will get the best of me. I am trying to make a difference and along the way there will be people who will question why we are helping them. I learned not to make everything other people say get to you. If you want to make a difference, do something! Be passionate about it. I believe my group and I are on track with what we need to do. My next action is to make a successful one on our next hot lunch.

Make A Difference, Project Ayuda Karidat

M.A.D PROJECT BLOG UPDATE

What my group and I have accomplished so far is, selling of the hot lunch tickets. We've donated money to buy the necessities for this lunch. We prepared the hot lunch tickets a little late and only had a few days to sell. The challenging part was really trying to sell the tickets. Many people we not interested in buying when we could not deliver. So for this  week's lesson, I learned that it is good to be ahead about four days or more so that things can be done properly.

I would say that managing my time has improved over the past few days of this week. Even if we were kind of last minute with this hot lunch, we are on track for what we will need to do. We will be giving out the hot lunches tomorrow March 18, 2017 at the Kelili Pavillion. For our timeline, we need to be selling our tickets earlier for our next hot lunch.
My next action for the following week is to convince people to buy tickets and help out Karidat. By then, I can tell the customers my pitch and hopefully that will make them want to buy hot lunch tickets.

Make A Difference, Project Ayuda Karidat

M.A.D PROJECT BLOG

Coin drives and hot lunch tickets are what we have so far for our Project Karidat. It may not sound like it is much, but they are baby steps to achieving this goal of ours. We've had  a few  problems creating a plan to accomplish our goal and it was such a hassle to handle. So one of the few problems we've come across was selling snacks in school to raise money to help provide necessities for Karidat. It was challenging because my group and I had to think of a back up plan on other ways to raise money. On the process of thinking of other new ways to raise money, we also learned that communication and 100% effort is needed to even move on from one thing to another.

We were allowed to sell snacks, but only after school. It was a problem because my group-mates and I aren't always after school, so we decided to do hot lunch. I'd say my skills have improved because instead of just waiting for donations and til the day of the hot lunch, I knew that I can use my time wisely. By this, I mean that we could have a coin drive. It is another way of raising money. I think it would be really helpful because there are so much people who hates having coins. So what a positive way to get rid of their coins. So far, this coin drive is definitely helping our project succeed it's goal.

We are getting something done and our plan has been pulling through. I think it is amazing because we will reach our deadline and to accomplish Project Ayudu Karidat. Other than that, we will be extending our donations for necessities. The reason being is because the more the merrier to give than to receive.
My next action with my group is to start printing our tickets for our hot lunch and sell them! I look forward to the outcome of this project.
